Scattered Pieces is the compelling autobiography of Shirley Lynette Maxwell. Her story begins humbly at age six when she was placed in an orphanage along with her two brothers. Shirley learned about friendship and adventure from a young gypsy girl and dreamed of a life far different from her own existence. Each major event in her life journey has been cause for a return to Emerald Isle, North Carolina where she repeatedly pieced her life back together and healed her heart. Through the trauma of her many disappointments, she has persevered and, with the support of good friends, family, and her little dog, Buddy, achieved her dream of a fulfilled life.
